Chiang Mai - 2June2017

We had buffet breakfast at the hotel. There were varieties in food. The dining area was spacious.

We went outside the hotel to take a photo of the 2 elephants.

It was around noon when we reached Mae elephant camp. We bought tickets. The tickets include a lunch.

We went to see the elephant show. The elephants played soccer.

Ah boy loved the show.

Some elephants approached the audience for food.

They were hungry.

Some elephants were more artistic and they drew pictures of elephants.

The most interesting part was riding on the elephant to cross a small river. The elephant ride was about half an hour. I was scared the elephant would suddenly go crazy and threw us off his back, so I kept asking the elephant to be good.

We went to see a Long-neck tribal village. The local villagers set up stalls to sell things to the tourists.

Ah boy tried on his swing.

There were explanations on different tribal groups.

I like the backdrop on the village scene.

We sat on the Buffalo cart. It was more comfortable than the elephant ride.

The exciting event was the bamboo raft ride on the river.

The water was muddy. Ah boy tried his hands on paddling the bamboo raft.

This photo was taken by the local people.

The food was delicious and it was the best meal we had in Chiang Mai.

We went to a western restaurant in the evening.

The pasta serving was huge.

Ah boy tried fish spa. He found it very ticklish and couldn’t stop giggling.
