Chachako - Jurong point - 1Jan2019

New restaurant - Chachako opened at Jurong point. Meals are at nett prices. We tried the breakfast sets at 5SGD. It consisted of toasts, 2 hard-boiled eggs and tea or coffee. We ordered another set at 6SGD which consisted of a bun with chicken meat and tea or coffee. An upgrade of drinks to milo cost another 1SGD. 

Food was average. The restaurant setting was spacious, previously was the restaurant setting for fish and manhattan.

Location is out of the way and not accessible by MRT. It is accessible only by internal shuttle bus such as Bus 241 from Boon Lay bus interchange.

The food is served from 5 pm onwards. The rice 🍚 was ready around 5.15 pm. We ordered 3 bowls of rice and could only finish 2 bowls. 

We ordered 22SGD platter for 1-2 persons. The serving was not big. We asked for chicken soup because Tom Yum soup cost 3SGD more. 

Stove was dirty. The staff never bothered to wipe clean the stove. I found a cooked noodle stuck onto the stove. 

There were 2 kinds of sauce. Both tasted good but the sauce was not enough for 2 persons to share. 

The dining area was spacious and cooling. 

On the whole, the food could be better with bigger portions.
