Plaza sing - akimitsu - 31Dec2017

It was last day of 2017. We met at Plaza Singapura to try out the famous tendon. We ordered the signature special at 14.90SGD with prawn, white fish and vegetables. The food portion on the tendon was big. The pickles were free-flow.  It was a very filling meal.  I liked the vegetables tendon that consisted of pumpkin, mushroom, ladies finger.  They were coated with thin layer of deep fried batter. 

Bukit Indah Aeon mall - 28Dec2017

This year end I decided to venture into Aeon mall from tuas second link. We took causeway link bus CW6 at Boon Lay station bus stop. The fare was 4SGD per adult. 

Within less than an hour we arrived at tuas second link. There were many people queuing for immigration entry. We boarded another causeway link bus to head over to Malaysia custom.

Malaysia custom was slower because there were not many counters. We followed others to take causeway link bus CW3 to Aeon mall (Jusco).

Aeon mall was big. There were many retail shops and food and beverage restaurants.

We walked into a Japanese restaurant at the second level. The food was good. We spent nearly 130 RM on our lunch.

Sufood Raffles City - 22Dec2017

It was almost a year since I last dined at Sufood - raffles city.  They still maintain 1 shop in Singapore. They also listen to patrons suggestion to include 4 course, 6 course in addition to the 8 course. 

We ordered the 4 course sets which were without the appetizers, desserts and beverages. The mains were in big portions and we shared the mains. I ordered fruits and vegetables salad and clear burdock soup. The food was palatable. The service staff at Sufood was attentive to our needs when we asked for extra plates and photos-taking. 

I would give Sufood a thumbs-up and hope to return again next year with my good friends. 

Jurong Point - Fish Manhattan - 15Dec2017

It had been a while since we ate at fish Manhattan. We decided to dine in on a Friday night. The seafood was good but the vegetables were too hard. 

BKK to Khao Yao - 25Nov2017

We decided to take WTS tour package to khao Yai - Hua hin. We flew by scoot-air at terminal 2 to Bangkok. The seats were small and were not very comfy. Glad it was only a two hour plus flight. 

We arrived at Bangkok with a group of 20 plus people. There was a coach bus and a local tour guide, Joy, waiting for us. Everyone settled comfortably into the bus and set off with a few hours ride to Khao Yai. 

We stopped at Authuya for buffet lunch at River View Hotel. The food was good and we were hungry. 

After lunch, we stopped by ancient temple for sightseeing. 

It was remarkable to see the ruins from few hundreds of years ago. 

After a few hours ride, we finally arrived at sunflower farm. The flowers were not in full bloom yet but it was still a beautiful sight of sunflowers across a big plot of land and against the backdrop of mountains. 

The weather was sunny. We travelled far from Singapore to see the sunflowers. I was happy and tired. 

Next, we went to chocolate factory restaurant to get some chocolates. 

There was a beer restaurant next to the chocolate restaurant with a golden reindeer guarding its entrance. It was a cute sight. 

IMM - Ajisen lunch - 9Dec2017

Christmas is around the corner. IMM has a life size musical box for display with wound-up music. 

We went to have lunch at Ajisen. Food was not as good as we expected. 

Lunch at Marutama at The Central - 18Nov2017

The Ramen at Marutama at The Central was not as tasty as 面一筋 at Jurong Point. The pan-fried dumplings are also not as crispy as those cooked in Ajisan Ramen at IMM. 

It was still a good cosy place to dine there with free flow of water serving. 

Big ice cream at west coast plaza - 22July2017

Found an interesting chocolate ice-cream at west coast plaza.  

Ah boy couldn't wait to munch at the ice-cream. 

Ah boy belated birthday party - 16July2017

I ordered Pezzo pizza (hola Hawaiian and chicken delight) from food panda. I airfried 24 wings in the morning. The pizza was liked by the kids. They also like the potato chips. 

Ah boy friends (mostly his classmates) and our 2 neighbors came to his party. 

I bought the rainbow cake (60SGD) from the Jurong linkway near to IMM. The kids do not like the white cheese. (Wrong choice of cake)

Forty hands - tiong bahru - 20June2017

I last went to forty hands @ tiong bahru last December. This June I went there with my friends again. We ordered watermelon juice, hot chocolate, hot mocha for drinking ks. 

 

 

We ordered all day breakfast meals. The meals were of a big portion. We felt very full after we finished the meals. 

 

 

 

For dinner, we ate at noodle bar at jcube. Ah boy put on sunglasses to poise for a photo.

Chiang Mai - 5June2017

We walked to Thae Phae Gate from our hotel. We saw a Chinese couple taking wedding photos at the gate. 

 

They looked so young and loving. 

 

I will miss the mountain view from the hotel room. Bye bye Chiang Mai, see you next time.
