Twenty 15 restaurant grill bar - 24June2016

My friend introduced us to this restaurant grill bar at Big Box. We went there on a Friday evening. The food was good but not very warm when served. We ordered pork ribs, fries, buffalo wings and pasta. 

There was beer promotion 1 for 1 for 1 pint. So we ordered beer at 18SGD for 2 pints. 

Quite a nice place to hang out and chit-chat with friends. 

Bangkok - 4June2016

It was last day of our Bangkok trip. We had our last breakfast in the hotel for the morning.

We checked out at 11 plus am in the morning and waited for our cab outside the lobby area to take us to the airport. 

At the airport after we checked in, we had our lunch at a Thai restaurant. 

Bangkok - 3June2016

I always wanted to visit Terminal 21. The mall was near BTS Suhkhumvit 'Asok'.

Each floor had a different theme. I saw London bus at one of the floors.

The New Rot Fai Market Ratchado. We went there by tuk tuk because the taxi drivers refused to take us there.

The New Rot Fai Market Ratchado was close to Esplanade shopping mall.

Holiday Inn Express Siam - 1 to 4June2016

We stayed at this hotel from 1June2016 to 4June2016. It was a pleasant stay. The free wifi was very strong and I was able to keep connected without having to log in and out again. I loved the breakfast. The choices were a limited range but the food was good. It helped me save on breakfast. There were services outside the hotel to call for taxi services. It cost 500 baht to travel from hotel to the airport. I also loved the convenience of a McDonald within the hotel premises and a 7-11 in nearby mecure hotel. BTS national stadium was within walking distance. 

However, the pillows were too soft and the air-condition ventilation was too noisy. It kept me awake few times on the first night. 

On the whole, it was a pleasant stay and I might return to this hotel again in future. 

Bangkok - 2June2016

We had our morning breakfast at the hotel. 

We took some photos at the hotel rooftop. 

We went to Jim Thompson House near the hotel. The ticket was 150Baht each. There was a tour of 35 min with a English-speaking guide. I enjoyed the guide detailed explanation on the individual rooms in the house. 

For lunch, we took taxi to Chinatown. We had sharks fin soup and bird nest coconut water and fried rice. Food was good.

In the late afternoon, we went to Bangkok Art and culture centre. It was interesting place for display of arts.

We had MK steamboat dinner at MBK level 7. Food was yummy.

We took BTS to Saphan Taksih from National Stadium near our hotel, and took a boat to Asiatique. There were many stalls there. The t-shirts are cheap. 

Bangkok - 1June2016

We ordered some food at Changi Airport terminal 2 Hong Kong restaurant. The food was expensive. The wanton mee set cost almost 15SGD. 

After almost 2 hours flight, we arrived in Bangkok. The BKK taxi driver offered to drive us to the hotel at 550 baht. We disagreed and he made us pay toll fee (twice). How rude! In the end, it cost about 500 baht (including toll fee) from airport to holiday inn express Siam hotel. 

The hotel room was of decent size and the bed was queen size. The pillows were too soft for my liking. 

We rested a while before heading down to central world to eat at Fuji Japanese restaurant. I ordered the seafood platter. So yummy. 

We took a stroll to Zen which was next to Central world. At level 3, it was a woman's paradise.They sold warcoal bras at much cheaper price than Singapore. 

After shopping, we walked back to the hotel.
