Today was a day I explored JB city. It's been a while I last went into JB city. We took bus CW1 outside Kranji mrt to woodlands customs checkpoint. Adult fare was 3RM and child fare was 1.40RM. There was a longer queue for another bus 170x.

After reaching the woodlands customs checkpoint, queues were forming. We waited for a while before we could cleared the checkout.

We headed downwards to board CW bus again to JB customs checkpoint.

I had a shock to see huge crowd of people waiting to board the different buses to JB custom. CW bus lane was not significant. We had to ask people.

Clearing JB customs checkpoint was a breeze. There were many counters and the checkpoint was spacious with high ceilings. I was impressed.

We we headed to the high end shopping mall - KOMTAR. We saw retails stores on brands outlet, padini, fos, Vinci etc. There were also many eateries and restaurants. We ate at sushi zanmei. The food was good. But I was a bit disappointed with the hotpot. The food was to be cooked from raw status which took quite a while. Ah boy loved the spicy ramen. He finished the small bowl by himself.

Ah boy's eyes were vv sharp. He saw Angry bird land at level 3. He was accompanied by his daddy because he was below 11 years. The single ticket was at a discount of 30 percent at 53RM each when paid using Maybank credit cards.

Ah boy's one eye was hurt by a boy dashing recklessly in the land. Luckily, it was a minor injury.

We left JB to Singapore around 4 plus and headed home. It was a smooth ride on the way back without long queues.

Flock cafe @ tiong bahru - 26Dec2016

Flock cafe at tiong bahru was popular with the young crowd. They served food and drinks with a cafe setting.

The drinks were not cheap. Pricing is comparable to Starbucks coffee but the tea was not impressive.

Sufood @ raffles city - 23Dec2016

It's a while since I last went to Sufood restaurant at Raffles city. The food was just as good. We ordered the set meal at 29.80SGD.

There were more varieties in their Salad and pizza. I loved the lucky clover pizza. The taste was better than the other pizza I tried last round.

The pasta was not so good as before. The mushroom was too tough.

As for desserts, they have cakes, yogurt, beancurd, red bean paste. They have cold and hot drinks for us to choose. We chose mint herbal tea but it tasted like chamomile tea. There was no taste of mint.

We had a good time in Sufood. The service was good and the waiters were attentive. We might return again to this restaurant.

Bakerzin @ Jurong Point - 19Dec2016

Bakerzin at Jurong Point had closed. I was fortunate to have a meal at this restaurant last year in December. I ordered tomato risotto cakes. The risotto cakes were actually made of type of rice. The food did not taste good. The side vegetables were okay.

Seoul Garden @ Jurong Point - 8Dec2016

Seoul Garden hot pot was a good choice. We ordered chicken hot pot and bibimbap, and a cinnamon drink at 4.90SGD. This drink was refreshing with the taste of cinnamon. The sides (cucumber, cabbage, raddish kimchi) were freeflow.

We headed to Fa Yuen street to look at flowers, plants. We also went to Yuen Po street to look at birds.

Dinner was at a porridge eatery shop near Rosedale hotel. We ordered mee fen to go with the porridge, and a plate of Chee cheong fun. Food was ok.

Hong Kong Travel - 29Nov2016

Ocean park cable car

Today we headed to HK Ocean Park. We took the MTR to Admiralty Station and bought the tickets at the tourist service counter.

We walked towards the bus station and took bus 629 which was the direct bus to HK ocean park. The bus ride was slightly over half an hour.

There was not much crowd in the morning. The
weather was cooling. We headed to queue at the cable station to get over to the other side of the theme park.

The view outside the cable car overlooking the mountains was spectacular.

After spending half a day at HK ocean park, we took the 629 bus back to the bus station. We decided to walk towards the HK observation wheel. It was a 10 min ride on a ferries wheel overlooking the harbour.

We were lucky to have a free ferry ride across to Tsim Sha Tsui harbour. I was excited to see a junk boat with the name 张保仔。It reminded of the HK drama serial with the same name.

HK Observation Centre

We were hungry and ate at a express tea-house for lunch. The tea-house was operated like a fast-food chain. The food was ok.

The dinner was good. We ate at Rosedale hotel nearby 茶楼。We ordered roasted goose. It was yummy. We enjoyed the food.

Peak Tram

Buffet Breakfast at Rosedale hotel was of limited variety but it provided a choice of vegetables, fruits, cereals, porridge, meat, pancakes, pastries etc.

After breakfast, we headed to Central station and walked towards the Peak tram station to take the tram to Victoria Peak.

The view at Victoria peak was spectacular. The place also had a mini racecourse exhibit with souvenirs for sale.

Dinner and supper

In the evening, we decided to explore Olympian city. We went to Olympian city 2 to take our dinner at food republic. The food was not cheap. A meal cost above 5SGD.

There was a muji shop and a muji cafe in the mall. We had a hot drink before heading back to the hotel.

Changi T3 Ramen

Our flight was in the evening 6.30pm, we went early to terminal 3 @ changi airport to have a light dinner and to collect the wifi router.

Rosedale Hotel

We arrived in Hong Kong around 11 pm. We decided to take the airport express train to tsing yi station and changed to MTR to exit from Olympic station.

It was dark in the streets. We almost lost our way and we managed to find our hotel after a couple of walks among some streets. The hotel was near a petrol station and along some busy streets. Rosedale hotel was just next to Dorsett hotel.
